When should I add anti-aging creams to my skin care regime?

Love, Peace, Harmony….XOXO asked:

I’m 17 (almost 18) and I was wondering when I should add anti-aging cream to my skin regime. I have fine lines at the corner of my eyes and under my eyes from squinting a lot.

I really doubt you need it yet!
You’re young.. your skin probably isn’t that bad :) x
EDIT: I’m 17 too, and I don’t plan on adding it any year soon lol :) x

gee, we called them laugh lines…. it’s never too soon to treat your skin right…. but that anti-aging stuff is costly, so I would wait until I had a good job and the money to pay for it….

You’re too young right now, wait until you’re 30. Estrogen levels start to drop then Anti-aging regimens can begin. Until then stay hydrated. Don’t harm your skin with sun damage, use daily sunscreen, or smoke and you’ll delay anti-aging even further.
Maybe a serum for keeping eye area hydrated is enough for now.

    i started at 17

mother started at a young age and she looks wonderful for her age.
women her age have more wrinkles and they started late with the wrinkle treatments.

    your skin will thank you

Anti-Ageing creams don’t necessarily do anything for anyone’s skin.

Lots of the brands on the market use chemicals which can cause health problems over the years – or if they contain Methyl Paraben will actually prematurely age your skin.

Ensure you remove your makeup (try a cream cleanser) before going to bed as that will really help your skin.

Sounds like you need an eye cream to hydrate, I use an organic one frrom Pai, their Echium Eye Cream – Echium is an anti-ageing ingredient, but it isn’t marketed as an anti-ageing cream…probably why it is only £16 (lasts about 6-8 weeks) rather than £50!

I’m 20 and I use an eye cream. You’re never too young to start taking car of your skin. You dont need anti-aging creams yet however. Make sure you use a good cleanser, a good facial scrub a couple times a week, a good moisturizer, and a good eye cream. Most eye creams are made for anti aging, but there are a couple made for hydration which is what you would use. Try Neutrogena Healthy Skin eye Cream or Aveeno Eye Brightening Cream. The key is to keep your skin moisturized and hydrated to prevent wrinkles. Oh and wear sunglasses all the time so you dont squint!!
