I don’t believe in any of these so called “age tests”. But it’s true that fruits and veggies have antioxidant properties. And you are so young! Don’t let these things bother you. You have a life to live.
Goji berries, apparently.
My wife is Chinese and calls them Gou Ji Zi. She brought some back from China after our last visit there. I’d never heard of them but she told me they are excellent for your general well-being and health and have been known as such, for a long, long time in China.
I’ve just this minute found a website – - which gives the lowdown.
It seems that they have not only anti-ageing properties but anti-cancer ones as well and contain antioxidants. They are nice too.
Ginseng is a good strengthening and anti aging herb. It’s found in china and parts of India as Ashwagandha. Also there are a lot of herbs used in Ayurveda that reduces the effect of aging. Physical exercises also have a dramatic effect on the apparent age of a person. Exercises like yoga and martial arts may be taken up at any age.
Hi I’m a nutritionist and the answers quite simple – the best are foods containing anti oxidants and vitamin C – anti oxidants help eliminate free radicals which are responsible for denaturising components of the skin (and body), including collagen and collagen also needs vitamin c to rebuild itself.
You also need to drink water because that helps the body transport water soluable nutrients and minerals to the parts of the body that need them
so eat: blueberries, raspberries (and all dark fruits – plums, red grapes etc) and drink plenty of water.
Fruit and other anti oxidant foods also help maintain healthy blood vessel walls (veins, capiliaries and arteries) and when people do age tests they test the elacticity of the blood vessels – in short nowadays they can predict when you’ll have a heart attack using this technique and the way to offset all aging is to eat anti oxidant rich foods
