I’m 16 years old. I’m still growing, but I need to lose body fat?

Question says it all.
Im 16 years old.
Not THAT tall, only 5’6 but 140 pounds
I do have muscles but covered with lot of body fats.. haha

All of my family members grew tall when they were in their early age, so I’m kind of worried about my height also.

What is the best way to lose body fats without hurting my growth hormone? Also, what are some excersies that helps me grow taller?
I heard that running is the best way to lose fats, but I also heard that it damages my chance of growing.

    Being 16, your height and weight is normal. Look up your BMI–you’re in a healthy weight range. Besides that, at 16, you’re still developing and filling out.

    The only thing you should be worrying about is being healthy–eating right, getting in the exercise (yes, running is good for you), stretching–and the last thing is making yourself taller.

    Go walking everyday that will help with the weight and also try Weight Watchers they are the best for a young person , or anyone to lose weight, you only need to follow the points and loose weight. You must follow the Weight Watchers and only use the number of points that they recomend. It works I lost 55 lbs on it. Also you are only 16 and probably will grow more and so you may grow taller by just doing nothing.

    I wouldnt say that running is the best exercise to lose body fat. It all depends on what activity you do, and there are plenty of activities that burn more calories the running does. Also, to lose one pound, you have to burn a little over 3 000 calories. And there arent any things you can do to grow taller, if god wants you to be short, than you’ll be short, or vice versa. Oh…drink lots, and lots of water, at least 55 ounces a day. That is the best way to lose weight. Hope this helps
