How can I be enthusiastic about growing older?

Well if you are saved and have accepted Jesus as your savior then you should be happy because everyday your body gets older your that much closer to heaven.

As I get older, I think that I am closer to seeing my God. But as St Paul said we still have work to do here on earth. There are atheists to love.

We do not have to be enthusiastic about it.
But we can reach a state when we realize our physical body, our physical being has nothing to do with our “self” with our true existence.
And we do not have to die to arrive to this realization, we can do that here and now by opening up our eyes to the real reality, to our real existence.

Well my personal reason why I want to live as long as possible is to piss off the devil every day that I’m still alive. The devil hates all humans and wants all humans dead as soon as possible so why would you want to give him the pleasure of you dieing before you have to.

First of all we are not promised that we will live another day. We trust God in every day of our lives and are not to worry about tomorrow. Jesus said the days troubles are enough for the day. If your feeling depressed you may want to see a DR as well.

“The downfall of the world”?
Hate to break it to you, but the Earth and the human race is going to survive both of us.
I like getting older because cancer almost killed me, as did combat and Game 6 of the 2002 World Series. Every year I live is another victory. I’m in my mid-forties now, and can’t wait to see what comes next!
It also helps that I refuse to die until my beloved Giants actually win the World Series.
