Well as far as alcohol relating to sex and alcohol relating to violence goes, it’s a well known fact that alcohol lowers your inhibitions and causes an individual to act more impulsively. That being said, in my opinion and experience, a person who commits a violent crime or rape on alcohol was on the verge of doing so anyway. Alcohol pushes people over the edge of doing something they were already initially very close to doing. You can see the example in society: Some people get drunk and kill other people, some people get drunk and abuse others, while others get just as drunk but have a good time and hurt nobody. Alcohol is not to blame, it is the scapegoat of the people who can not acknowledge the flaws in their character and thus do nothing to better themselves.

I don’t think there’s any doubt that alcohol makes people age faster. It is hard on the liver, the stomach, the heart, the brain, pretty much every vital organ. It makes a typical person gain weight (beer belly) which isn’t good either. In addition, people who use alcohol often have bad eating habits, poor sleeping habits, become dehydrated, etc. etc.

The ancient Greeks said “Everything in moderation”, and this is very true for alcohol.
