Anti Aging Botox Treatment Advice

Anti Aging Botox Treatment Advice

BOTOX is actually short for Botulinum Toxin Type A.

BOTOX injections are one of the most popular procedures in cosmetic surgery today as people try to offset the ravages of aging. In fact, Botox injections far out number breast augmentation and nose jobs, if you will, as the most preferred cosmetic surgical procedure.

The appearance of wrinkles on the face is a source of anxiety for millions of women and men.
People will do almost anything to alleviate wrinkles and skins blemishes of all kinds. The search for a miracle drug to help us appear younger presently drives a multi-billion dollar cosmetic and beauty industry.
If you have the money you can opt for some more invasive (and supposedly more effective) procedures to help you look younger. This is where BOTOX followed by the big brother plastic surgery may fit the bill.

Really no one likes wrinkles anywhere on their body; but, our face starts reflecting the passage of time the soonest, and most visibly. Studies have shown that wrinkles appear on our skin as early as the age of 25-27 or so.
Of course it is the fact that people usually see the face first and most prominently so we tend to become very concerned about the aging process of the face first and foremost.

BOTOX is actually a form of food poisoning.

It is actually a protein complex, which is produced by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. An injectible form of this toxin is used in cosmetic surgery.
This form of the toxin is purportedly sterilized and purified.

BOTOX may, in some folks, interfere with muscle and nerve interaction. Some feel minor doses of this chemical effectively prevent the release of acetylcholine by the nerve cells.
The neuro-chemical transfer signals to muscles, determining how and when and to what degree they contract and relax. When injected into selected muscles, BOTOX can interfere with this reaction.

However, for most folks Botox does cause much if any problem, in fact, within a week wrinkles on the face become almost invisible.
Since 2002, the FDA has approved the use of BOTOX injections as a treatment for the reduction of frown lines. Since then, the use of Botox has skyrocketed and has come to be regarded as the fastest growing anti-aging cure in the country.

There are other, more permanent, options available – if you are inclined towards cosmetic surgery. Procedures like an eyelid tuck (blepharoplasty) and a bow lift (also called a forehead lift) can be chosen.
They are outpatient operations, each procedure lasting not more that 1 to 2 hours; so you can leave for home the same day. Another option is the face lift (or rhytidectomy) – a slightly longer operation which can go on for 2 to 4 hours, but still an out-patient procedure.

Although none of these procedures can reduce wrinkles, they very distinctly tighten up a sagging face by literally cutting away any extra bits of facial skin.

Given the risks associated with Botox facial treatments for some, facial treatments like Rejuvinol™ deserve serious consideration by some who are leery of BOTOX.
This product helps give a younger appearance by appearing to smooth out wrinkles as BOTOX does. Its makers say that it contains the universally recognized Argireline® from Lipotec S.A. The active ingredient in Argireline® is acetyl hexapeptide 3 (AH3), a deep penetrating, powerful amino peptide that helps to relax the intensity and frequency of facial muscle contractions.

So while BOTOX is the hot approach to removing wrinkles brought on by the aging process it is not the only choice out there. We will investigate other anti-aging choices in future articles as we try to make the journey of aging as vital as possible.
