UCtelevision asked:
Aging is warfare between chemistry and biology says Steven G. Clarke, a Distinguished Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UCLA and an authority on the biochemistry of the aging process. Clarke focuses on the fascinating dichotomy between two crucial disciplines, chemistry and biology, and how protein modification can regulate biological function. Interesting but I don’t go with the grey hair theory of precancerous melanocytes. As for rats living longer because they’re fed less – you’ve switched on their foraging instincts & little else most probably: you personally can achieve the same thing with physical exercise. I’m interested by hypothetical rejuvenation but it’s a difficult area.

This was a very insightful look into the broad range of biochemical mechanisms involved in aging; I really enjoyed it. It gave me a bit of hope that maybe we can tip the scale in biology’s favor.
